Nakano, Nagano, Japan｜Hotaru

We went around Nakano searching for unique restaurant. This is it. Small and in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to shout about on the decor but the food is crazy good. Staff is super friendly. Not a tourist place. The chicken wing is to die for. The fat beef hot pot is amazing. The soup is slightly spicy but taste amazing. Must come if you went to the Snow Monkey place.

This is a great combination soba restaurant and local izakaya. They have a wide variety of options on their menu. Their food is served hot and fresh. Everything we ordered was skillfully seasoned and flavorful. I would definitely visit again when in the area. If you can, call ahead for reservations, especially on weekends and national holidays; they can fill up early.

Came here for lunch, limited option available during lunch time. Ordered soba sets, both cold and hot soba were good. Set comes with Tempura, it was crispy and fresh. Value for money, Recommended
