Kitakata, Fukushima, Japan｜Yamatoji

I usually recommend this restaurant, but since it was the season for new soba, the aroma of soba filled my mouth and it was really delicious.

I received Tenzaru Soba for 1,300 yen + 300 yen for a large serving. Ugh, it's delicious! The buckwheat noodles were white and elastic, probably because they had little cuticles, although they didn't have much fragrance. It's delicious as it is without being addictive. Apparently it's called Yamato soba, which is a specialty of this area. The tempura has a strong flavor of wild plants and vegetables, and has a concentrated flavor. I was satisfied with both the tsuyu and sobayu. It was a large portion, but it was delicious and I felt like I could have eaten a little more. The restaurant has the atmosphere of a home turned into a guest room. It has table seats and tatami mats. There were only one or two customers, but it seems like they can accommodate small groups. I entered the store around 13:00 on a holiday. By the time we returned, the parking lot and tables were full. There are several soba restaurants in the neighborhood, so I wasn't sure which one to choose, but this one was the right choice.

I learned about Yamato soba from a friend, but never had the chance to try it for a long time. First ``Yamato Soba'' at ``Yamatoji''. It was the best soba I've had in a while, and it made my back stronger and my throat smoother.The inside of the restaurant, which is a remodeled old folk house, had a nice calm atmosphere. The tempura soba, yam soba, and natto soba were all delicious!
