Kitashiobara, Fukushima, Japan｜ヒロのお菓子屋さんレイクウッドカフェ店

This little cafe tucked away in the woods is such a lovely place. The ambiance is great and the food and desserts were top-notch. The wife had the gnocchi (very hard to find good ones outside Italy but these are great), the son and I had the Hiro’s chicken curry (also very nice, a spin on Japanese curry), and the daughter had the bolognese. If you take the set, you get to choose a coffee or tea, and a dessert. All the cakes and desserts were great. Glad we drove here.

I found this place because I wanted to have a stylish lunch. Everything on the menu, from the food to the drinks, feels handmade and you can feel the owner's commitment to it. I had a tarte tatin with a Cuban sandwich and seasonal sweets. There are about 6 tables inside, so it fills up quickly. I was very satisfied with the quiet mountain scenery surrounding the shop.

I followed the navigation, but is this the right road? It's a little uneasy, but thanks to that, it was a very calm and relaxing tea time. When I stood at the entrance, the store staff greeted me and I felt comfortable in the way I entered the store. We had cake and tea, both of which were very good. There aren't many shops that have delicious tea, but I had a very fragrant tea. (Unexpectedly, there are many shops that leave tea bags to customers, which is a shame.) This time, I chose flower bean Mont Blanc and salt cocora, but next time I would like to eat cream puffs.
