I had some business to do at Chitose Airport, and I was looking for a place to have lunch nearby...and I found a bistro that is rare in Chitose! let's go! yeah? If you don't make a reservation, you won't be able to get in... so I made a reservation the day before and went today! The main course dish was fish, but I was selfish and asked for meat to be served as well, so for 5,500 yen, would you be okay with that? The friendly owner/chef confirmed this, and we had an appetizer, soup, fish dish, meat dish, and dessert. Overall, it was a French meal with a somewhat Japanese feel, with the sauce making use of Hokkaido's fresh vegetables and other ingredients to bring out the flavor without being too overpowering. It was my first time having a French restaurant that fried the whole sweetfish! Is it French...? No, it's French! It's finished in a French style...it's different from what I've had at various French restaurants, but it's definitely French! ...It was fun and delicious from start to finish. However, the portions are large and I wonder if it is a bistro? That's what the owner/chef says, he wants you to go home with a full stomach. Some people may think the price is high, but considering the quality and quantity, I don't think it's that expensive...I don't think I need dinner, but I'm still not hungry, and it's a little before 9pm lol. Even though I am a big eater for a woman, my stomach was full lol It had just the right amount of saltiness, sourness, and sweetness for me. During the two-hour meal, I was able to speak with the owner/chef, but he told me that he had not trained in France. I see, that's why the owner-chef has a unique idea for French cuisine, without the fixed idea of ​​what French cuisine should be. This is a rare restaurant where you can enjoy high quality French food in bistro quantities. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, even for solo women, and I would like to go there again from Sapporo. Thank you for the meal.
