More Comments at Google MapI was impressed when the boiled flounder came out! (I think it's different every time) When I went, asparagus was in season, so I ordered charcoal-grilled asparagus, and it was the biggest asparagus I've ever seen, and it was seriously delicious.
It was a delicious izakaya in Tomakomai, so I made a reservation and took the JR train from Tomakomai Station. This is where you get a real sense of the vastness of Hokkaido, with one station covering a distance that would take about 4 stations on the local JR train. I thought I was on the wrong train. Get off at Numanohata Station and walk for about 5 minutes. We sat on a small terrace, toasted with Asahi beer, and had a huge plate of flounder marinated in nanban. The 2 servings of sashimi is huge, and although it's buried under the sashimi, there's still plenty of Matsukawa veranda. A lot of things were delicious, but the salt-grilled Matsukawa and Toxirazu were by far the best. Finish with salmon chazuke. I remember the bill being quite reasonable. If it weren't for the coronavirus pandemic, I would have looked at the ingredients at the counter, selected them, and eaten them.
This is a really delicious izakaya! ! Everyone please go and see it! ! The owner is also funny and kind! !
