The most expensive lunch at Le Cadre is ¥3980. We ordered a portion of sheep and a portion of Ezo deer. Paired with a glass of Nagano-produced white wine, the total bill was about 10,000 yen. My husband has always wanted to know whether venison is delicious. I had fried venison steak in Nagano before, but it was really not that good. Later, I asked a venison seller in Taiwan. The boss said that although venison is food grade, it is always for sale. People don’t eat what dogs eat… All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended. See the photo description for details.

I can't believe there is such a wonderful bistro in Ueda! This was my first visit for lunch. The course includes salad, soup, main course, dessert, bread, and an after-meal drink. The salad came with charcuterie and cumin-flavored bread and was delicious and I could eat it without getting bored. The cucumber soup has no grassy smell at all, and the soup stock has a strong flavor that will leave you nodding your head. The main choice was instant smoked beef bavette. The red meat juice slowly oozed out, and the smoked aroma, the degree of cooking, and the sauce all combined to make it incredibly delicious. For dessert, the banana bread was moist and fluffy and went perfectly with the whipped cream. It was a bistro where every plate was impeccable. It's a wonderful and cozy shop with a great sense of space. This is a store I definitely want to visit again.
