Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan｜Sonorite

The food here was wonderful. As diamond members we were treated to a "lounge" experience served by Mrs. Takahashi. She was very helpful and made some wonderful drinks for us as well as a snack platter. Afterwards we moved to the next room for dinner and tried the two versions of their burger. The cheese burger was simple and delicious. High grade beef and fresh veggies and the bun was excellent. The 100% Kikyo original burger however was on another level. Bursting with local flavors, it is 100% a recommendation!!

The service in the lounge at night was also excellent, and the staff's quick and witty conversations made me feel welcomed. The breakfast was also great, and I have fond memories of being able to relax in the morning and enjoy the food while feeling Karuizawa outside the window.

While mainly using locally sourced ingredients from Nagano, we create unique courses, including the menu. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and you can spend a wonderful time there.
