Huge portions and a very homy atmosphere. The owner and his wife were both very kind and the food was great. There is an English menu for foreigners (though we also ordered the omurice which wasn't listed on that menu). Very cool atmosphere inside and very affordable!

Fantastic curry, katsu, and atmosphere. Owner plays great jazz on vinyl. Even better, he is the kindest person - we accidentally left our documents and he searched through Instagram to find us and reach out to ensure we got them back!!!

Don't be fooled by the small setting, the old-fashioned furniture full of junk of all kinds, the spartan service or the presence of only two elderly people running it (husband and wife). Here you will perhaps eat one of the best curry rice in all of Japan prepared with experience but above all love from those who, despite their age, cook it and serve it at the table, even exchanging a few words in English with you. Tasty dishes and incredible value for money. Mandatory stop for anyone coming to Nagano. A special greeting to the manager and his wife.
