Good food. The beer selection is pretty good for a Japanese restaurant. The 4 beers that they brew themselves are all excellent. I would definitely recommend Daniel House if you are in Ota and looking for something different.

Very nice food and home made beer

Daniel House is a local gem in Ota city. It features craft beer brewed on site and German inspired cuisine. They normally offer four kinds of craft beer; an English style pale ale, a hefeweizen, a kolsch, and a seasonal beer. The beer is delicious, no off flavors or brewing mistakes to be found, and the prices are on par with the macro-brews offered in the neighboring izakaya's and at least half of what you could expect to pay in Tokyo. The food is excellent as well with an excellent variety on offer. Ranging from oven fired Napoli-style pizza and locally-sourced salads to grilled steaks and fat sausages. And although the beer is the star, those who prefer wine are not left out. Just remember to ask for the wine list as it is not normally brought to the table. Be aware that Daniel House is an extremely popular place for weddings and company parties, especially on Fridays and Saturdays so be sure to check their website or call ahead to make a reservation on those days.
