I had some business to come to Fukuyama, so I made a reservation at this restaurant based on the reviews. Lunch starts at 11:30, and the only menu item is the lunch set for 1,380 yen. Seven items: salad, Western-style egg custard, soup, bread or rice, half pasta, main course, and gelato. The bread seems to change daily, and today I had a hot sandwich. You can choose from 3 types of half pasta, 10 types of main dishes, meat dishes, fish dishes, hamburgers, skirt steak, and gelato. All the dishes were delicious and left me full. This is 1,380 yen, which is a great value.⁠◕⁠‿⁠◕⁠。

At the French restaurant "Nouvelle Vague", lunch course 1380 yen, dessert stand + cold brew coffee, +350 yen. I ate a total of 1730 yen. This is delicious. And what a cost performance. Even the lunch course (1,380 yen) is very filling. The pasta has a deep taste, and the soup stock of clams and vegetables is solid, which is the best. The texture of the asparagus is also good. The beef pie wrapped in the main dish was also delicious. The crunchy feeling of the pie is comfortable with the guinea beef. Also, I've been a big fan of the pudding that comes with an additional 350 yen. There were 10 types of gelato to choose from, and I was very satisfied.

We had a multi-course dinner, which was wonderful. I was surprised by the local ingredients I saw for the first time, such as Japanese cockroach, small mullet, tamori, and kosiabura (wild vegetables). I think Fukuyama is a treasure trove of food as well as industry, and I was told that the homemade ice cream is also made by sorting and mixing milk, and I asked for local produce, which was amazing! In addition, there is no doubt that it is difficult to get a reservation because only one group is booked at night. I'll just take photos of the desserts, as they'll probably lessen the excitement of going there.
