Okayama, Japan｜Orian

I went here for lunch yesterday. It was my first time coming here but as soon as I arrived I saw a small question of people waiting outside so I knew it was worth it(in Japan when there is a line for something it’s usually because it’s good). I was able to be seated early as I was alone and it didn’t take long at all before a staff member came to take my order. I had some questions she kindly answered and she gave me her recommendations on what to order which was very helpful and nice of her. I ordered the fried shrimp tempura set and it came with a lot of food, almost too much if I am honest! First I received a delicious starter soup, then the main meal itself which consisted of a large portion of rice, 5 large tempura, a large helping of cabbage, home made tartar sauce, tea and pickles. After that I was given a small coffee too to finish off. Everything was delicious and it was also very cost effective as it only cost 1300 yen in total. This place has a very good reputation in Okayama and I can see why. I recommend anyone who wants a lot to eat or just wants something delicious and simple to check this place out. A+ spot in the basement. A bit hard to find if you aren’t looking carefully. Portions are massive and cheap! Recommend the lunch set.

It's underground. Once you get there you'll be treated with amazing food at a low price and friendly staff. Completely recommend and will come back again.
