More Comments at Google MapI went there around dinner time with my friend to celebrate her birthday. We ordered “10 selected recommendations”. They all looked and tasted amazing. 10/10. They don't have English menu but they are willing to help us with using Google translate, which wag great. If you're looking for somewhere to experience or enjoy Traditional Japanese cuisine, it's must go!
We stumbled upon this tiny place on a midweek evening and we were so confused as to why we were the only people there because WOW it was absolutely amazing. The cuisine is sort of like new age Japanese with ingredients sourced from all over Japan. One dish had multiple species of seaweed from different areas. The chef/owner is extremely skilled and prepares everything in front of you. Just such a delightful experience especially as the chef and server were super nice and eager to share their culinary expertise and recommendations for things to do in Tokyo. We stumbled upon this place on a midweek evening and we couldn't understand why this place wasn't packed because WOW it was absolutely amazing. The cuisine blends traditional Japanese flavors with a modern twist, using ingredients sourced from different regions across Japan. One dish had multiple species of seaweed from different areas. Him and the server were incredibly friendly, happily sharing their culinary expertise and giving us fantastic recommendations for things to do in Tokyo Menu was all in Japanese and they didn't speak much English, but that wasn't a problem for us. 100% worth going to still for the vibes and the food!
Incredible! Wow, had a feeling this place was something special from the humble yet chic vine of the place. Turns out that the chef is a sorcerer and staff exemplified welcoming, accommodating and most importantly, genuine connection in their exemplary hospitality towards us. Tonight was very special after walking 9 miles to Roppongi and back, it couldn’t have been a better end to an amazing day. The range of the dishes were modern takes on Japanese classics but not overdone or stuffy, the sign of a true artist is knowing when to stop and the restraint the chef showed let the ingredients show through, as well as his personality and style at the same time. Perfectly balanced, full of nuance and impeccable execution. This is truly a hidden gem of Shibuya, I’m sure in years to come there will a line around the block, so try it before they get famous!
