Chino, Nagano, Japan｜Kuroudo

My friends and I drove about 45 minutes from Yamanashi to get to this lovely ramen joint. The establishment is cramped and the parking lot is a bit small but the delicious food more than makes up for it! I couldn’t read the menu very well because it was mostly Kanji but I ended up ordering a bowl of Tonkotsu ramen with garlic, and extra egg, and a side of gyoza. It was probably the best ramen I’ve ever had. The chashu was tender and fell apart in the broth and the egg had been boiled and marinated in soy sauce but had a runny yolk. The broth was amazing! It was salty, rich, but had a slight kick to it. I washed everything down with an ice cold Coke, which was the perfect addition to my meal. When I went to pay it was a bit expensive: Around ¥1,700 for just myself. But honestly, it was worth it. I still think about the delicious ramen I ate at this restaurant and I can’t wait to visit again!
