about 25 years ago "Oh, the famous Marucho in Suzaka and Nakano was here too?" When I entered this store, I was completely disappointed. To be honest, how did you feel at that time? "What! These are not round tsukemen at all!" I remember feeling disappointed. However, the side menu was delicious, so I stopped by often to try something other than tsukemen. About 25 years have passed since then, and I had completely forgotten about the existence of this store. Originally, Marucho is a restaurant that serves thick and chewy tsukemen like udon, but for some reason, this restaurant serves ordinary Chinese noodles. If it weren't for the dipping sauce and Marucho's unique spiciness, the overall taste would have been bland and not very good. That's why I came to check it out. The inside of the restaurant is still built in the Showa era, making you wonder if it was so dark.It is a very picturesque Showa-era restaurant where the owner and the landlady built it while fighting each other. This time, I tried the tsukemen to confirm whether it was really that good, but I decided to go with the pork bowl set in order to lessen the disappointment when I was disappointed. While the owner and the landlady are fighting, the owner goes off to deliver food. The remaining landlady and a person who looked like her daughter appeared from somewhere, and a set of tsukemen and pork bowl was brought to the table. First of all, I want to make something clear. I feel sorry for fans who like the tsukemen here, but the taste of Suzaka and Nakano is better. Personally, I find the taste of the tsukemen, which almost tastes like vinegar, to be disappointing. Hmm. The taste of meeting him for the first time in 25 years was as expected... Next, I'll have the pork bowl. I don't know what this is, but it's so delicious! What's going on? That's how good it is! I was so surprised by this that I felt sorry for myself, as I had imagined a pork bowl from a certain chain restaurant, and in a good way, my expectations were completely disappointed. I vaguely remember that things like katsudon and levanilla were delicious in the past, but I was surprised at how delicious the pork bowl was. In the meantime, the restaurant was full, and you can clearly see that the restaurant is loved by the locals. There are many shops named Marucho throughout Japan, and there are also some called Marucho-kai or Marucho-no-kai. However, this restaurant does not just focus on tsukemen, but instead operates as a fine set meal restaurant. If it's frothy It's different from Suzaka and Nakano's Marucho! Perhaps the best part of this store is that it maintains a unique style. I hope that stores like this will continue to do their best.
