Nikko, Tochigi, Japan｜Gyoza no Umechan

Excellent place to eat with great prices. The gyozas are big and juicy with nice char. Ramen was also big and very flavourful. There are very few spot so there is usually a wait (we waited 25 minutes)

Amazing gyoza (we tried vegan, chicken and pork, they also have shrimp which was ordered in all other tables). The ramen is great as well (vegan and pork).

It was a tiny house. It is not overly crowded tables, so you have your own personal space. Initially thought of having ramen. But they have beef rice set with gyoza. So I took that. The beef rice bowl taste like home cooked food. Not overly sauce. Depending on people, I like it since it is not too sweet. The gyoza was actually nice and juicy. It was surprising for me. Coz’ some gyoza are dry inside. They have limited seats. I gave 5* for the homely taste and feel. And like the gyoza actually. For 1000yen for this set, it makes me full.
