I looked into trying Shirakawa Ramen, but there was a long line at the first restaurant. Find a store near you and come here. The exterior is a bit retro and may be difficult to enter at first glance. In fact, there are many people inside the store who appear to be local regulars. First of all, the lady who runs the store is energetic and moves around a lot. Very fun grandma. Ramen is also very delicious. It's cheap and delicious, so it's a good deal. Local regulars are sure to frequent it. I'm glad I didn't go to a famous restaurant (shrimp...) based on word of mouth. There's a hidden gem like this.

I visited with my husband and 2 year old son. There were pipe chairs for children and lots of picture books in the tatami room, which was great for families with children! I ate the miso chashu men, and it had a gentle, comforting taste that wasn't too punchy, so even my kids could share it with me without any worries. The shop has an old-fashioned appearance and a homely atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a long time. I was so healed by my mother's smile and thoughtfulness ♡
