I had been interested in this ramen restaurant that was selected for the 2022 Michelin Review for a while, but this was my first visit. It's delicious🤤 Salt ramen and soy sauce ramen are popular, but I decided to order the tonkotsu ramen for 900 yen! The soup is full of pork bone fat with the aroma of seafood. At first, I was worried about the strong fatty taste, but after the second half I became addicted. The crunchy shinachiku and the surprising thing was the char siu! Thickly cut and full of flavor👍It looked like chicken, but it melted in your mouth🫠 I think this elegant ramen is quite cost-effective 👍
I went to the Shirahama area and searched for a delicious ramen restaurant in southern Wakayama Prefecture on the internet and found a hit, so I decided to visit. Also, I don't like the common "Wakayama Ramen" style soup lol Before I went, I had decided to try the light salt ramen that I had read in the reviews. The store is located in a very peaceful location, and there is a parking lot in front of the store, to the side of the store, and a large gravel parking lot a short walk away. I parked in the parking lot next to the store, but it was a little narrow and there were two thick pillars, so I had to be careful. I arrived at 11:50 on a weekday and was waiting for a group, but I was immediately called and seated at a table! When I looked at the menu, I ordered the 880 yen ``Umesio Ramen'' with my favorite pickled plums, and the chashu rice set with my favorite rice for an additional 150 yen for weekday lunchtime. The chashu rice alone costs 380 yen, so it's a great value. My wife ordered the winter-only Misora Amen 850 yen + Jako rice set. The soup was as light as I imagined it to be, but it had a rich flavor that went well with the taste of the crushed plum meat and was very delicious. What was unique about it was that the noodles were so thin and straight that you would think of them as soba noodles. I liked it because it was easy to eat. By the way, as stated on the menu, the noodles, chashu pork, boiled eggs, and menma are all made in-house. After I finished eating the noodles, I added the chashu rice to the soup to make porridge. The char siu in this char siu rice is dice-shaped, but it's quite big and there's a lot of it, and for an extra 150 yen (almost the same price as a convenience store rice ball!), I think it's great! I recommend going on weekdays if possible!
