(2023.5.13) When it comes to takoyaki, I'm a fan of fluffy and fatty takoyaki. Up until now, I had been going all the way to Ishioka to eat it, but I heard that nearby "Ookiya" was offering that type of takoyaki, so I decided to go there... Since I live locally, I've known about the store for a while, but I haven't had a chance to try it. I entered the store around 11:00 and there were no customers in front of me. The shopkeeper was preparing the dough. There was plenty of eat-in space (table seats, counter seats), so I decided to eat at the restaurant. I ordered the Tsukuba Takoyaki with sauce and mayonnaise (¥510), and my wife ordered the green onion mayo with dashi soy sauce and mayonnaise (¥710). Add spicy Tsukuba yakisoba (¥710) to that. I think it has something to do with time and timing, but the cooking starts after you order. The two types of takoyaki were served in less than 10 minutes after being seated. The takoyaki looked very normal, but the green onion mayo was topped with plenty of onions and looked luxurious and bright. First, let's start with takoyaki. As fluffy as you want. When you cut one in half and put it in your mouth, it is piping hot and melty, and the taste of the dough is quite rich. The combination of the flavor of the dashi and the flavor and richness of the wheat makes it very delicious. The green onion mayo was also very delicious, with the crispness of the green onions and the flavor of the soy sauce going well together. Personally, it might be the best takoyaki I've had in Osaka and elsewhere. Just as I was about to finish eating the takoyaki, the yakisoba was served. The noodles are thick and classic with cabbage, pork, tempura, and mayonnaise. When I took a bite, I found that the noodles were chewy and well seasoned. The cabbage was crispy and delicious as well. As I continued to eat it, my tongue gradually started to tingle, but it wasn't unpleasantly spicy and was delicious. Sharing a plate of takoyaki and yakisoba with my wife will fill you up. By the way, the price for 5 takoyaki pieces is about 500 yen, so it's a little more expensive than usual...However, if you can eat such delicious takoyaki close to home, I think it's worth repeating.

Welcome to the energetic shopkeeper! It felt good and the atmosphere was great! I ate the classic yakisoba and it was delicious!

Ookiya's green onion yakisoba is exquisite! ! Takoyaki eaten with olive oil and salt is a unique dish that can only be tasted at restaurants. The octopus was also soft and delicious.
