Cheap, good food and cake. I got omurice for 1000 yen, tea and dessert included. A bit small though. Probably hard to communicate with the staff if you can't speak Japanese at all.

It has been near Nishichofu Station for about 30 years, and used to be a take-out specialty store at the south exit. From small salads to gratins and curries, they served dishes that could not be served at home, as expected of a professional. Meanwhile, it moved from the redevelopment in front of the station to the north exit and became a small restaurant. The food is of course, but I would like to recommend the cake. In particular, the shortcake made with fresh cream is so delicate that it melts in your mouth. In our house, we frequently make reservations and purchases for someone's birthday and Christmas. The dual skills of chef and pastry chef are the treasures of this town.
