Koganei, Tokyo, Japan｜Au bord de leau

Very lovely French restaurant, relatively close to Musashi Koganei Station. I've been there with my French boyfriend and we both appreciated their food a lot. We went there in a Sunday lunch and were the only customers (two were just leaving when we got in), maybe due to the state of emergency in Tokyo area. For lunch they have 2 dishes or 3 dishes courses, and you can choose combination of starter, main, and dessert. We both took the 3 dishes course. For started we had paté and for main chicken rolls and beef bourguignon. All the food was delicious, and they even gave bread for free (with refill!), which tasted really good as well. Highly recommended.

The beef braised in red wine and the chicken sauté were absolutely delicious. . ! The beef is voluminous and tender, and goes perfectly with the red wine sauce. The chicken saute had a crispy skin and was juicy inside, and it was also very filling and delicious. The fries that come with it are fluffy and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant as you can enjoy high quality French food at a reasonable price that rivals restaurants in the city center.

This is my 4th visit and every time I come it's getting better and better for me. The special lunch is voluminous (depending on the restaurant you compare it to, it feels like 1.5 to 2 times the amount), and you'll be full halfway through the main course. I think next time I will make sure that the dessert doesn't become a chore.
