More Comments at Google MapI went there for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant have a very nice atmosphere and you feel like you are in Lyon / France. The service is discreet and precise. The wine list is beautifully done and with lot of research. The food / menu was extremely well done and executed. We can really feel the passion of the Chef for the products and the perfect balance of tastes. Lugdunum Bouchon Lyonnais is one of the best French restaurant in Japan and demonstrate perfectly "L'art de vivre a la Francaise". If you are looking for a 2 to 3 meters space between the table, you should consider to go to a pure fine dining French restaurant. PS: when you go for a 3 Michelin star sushi counter you don't even have space to put your bag; so lets compare what is comparable (this is for the few comments below) This restaurant is a MUST go in Tokyo without any doubt. Bon Appetit !
I have been to Lugdunum Bouchon Lyonnais several times now, and it has always been a great time! The food there is full of refinement and authenticity, the staff is professional and joyful, the restaurant itself is perfectly on the theme from Lyon, France and is immaculate. The chef Christophe Paucod came to greet us, and was very friendly and full of very nice stories about his cuisine. The price is very contained considering the quality and precision of what we ate, and also the quantity of food that was generous! A well deserved Michelin star! A must go in Tokyo when speaking of French cuisine!
Great food in beautiful Kagurazaka. The restaurant has one Michelin star ⭐️ and a bit different addition to French typical restaurants in Tokyo by introducing Lyonnaise cuisine. During the week, they offer very affordable lunch sets starting from ~3000 yen. During the weekend, lunch course starts from ~5300 yen. Like many Michelin guide restaurants, you can only order course. We made a reservation 2 weeks before for a weekend lunch course. Menu offers several options for each dish, and states with a lion sign the ones typical to Lyon. Food was offered with fresh baguette. You need to pay for water (like in Europe), which might annoy some Japanese people. Wine was very good. Service is quite attentive and nice. However, service is not the center point of the Michelin guide restaurants, which I read and hear that bothers many people in Japan, this won’t be an exception. If you are a European, I don’t think you will notice anything. This warning is mostly for Japanese people and sensitive foreigners. That being said, most of the customers were Japanese people. Some of them were elderly, and seem to enjoy themselves a lot. They looked very fancy, just like the rest of the decorum. To me, honestly all dishes were great. I can say it though, Quenelle is not everybody’s cup of tea. You will love it, if you like sea food a lot. Either way, it is very nice to try something different from France. For an additional fee you can enjoy a cheese board. Course included too much food for us. Thus, we could not order cheese. I recommend this place to, well again to anyone, who wants to enjoy a great French food in a nice atmosphere.
