More Comments at Google MapNice little spot, got our food out pretty quickly and the staff spoke decent English to make ordering a breeze. We got the steak bowl and the pork cutlet curry, they were both very tasty although another cutlet, 4 in lieu of 3, would've made definitely filled me up and make the dish exceptional. Funky spot in the basement of the train/bus station with great food and character all in all definitely 5 stars.
I spent over a week in town (where I ate out every meal), and outside of a few udon places, this was the best food I found. The first time I went there, I went because another restaurant was closed, and I felt a little depressed that I would have to eat in a worn down looking basement food court, and then I had a taste of the food (bacon/eggplant spaghetti) and I was like, "What the hell!" I was taken aback at how good it tasted. (I also went to a pricey Italian place in town, and this place here was significantly better than that other posh place). So then I came back again to try another dish (chicken/vegetable curry). That too was great. Both dishes were noticeably tastier than the typical stuff found in town or in Tokyo. There was a depth in flavor in both dishes I tried. Needless to say, this place a total hidden gem. (I later asked a local about this place, and I was told that the owner and cook here used to be a chef at some higher-end restaurant in town, and that he had basically retired to run this place.)
I really enjoyed this place. We orginally tried to go to other high rated restaurants in the station, but they required reservations. This place was a last resort, but actually everything was so tasty. We ordered the eggplant and bacon spaghetti, pork curry, and a half size lasagna. Everything was great! Even my boyfriend liked it and he's a foodie.
