Wakayama, Japan｜hotel de yoshino

My top favorite French restaurant in Japan so far. Truly authentic style, yet carefully, also continuously renovated dishes are simply amazing. Must be one of rarely-seen, “modernized classic” French restaurants in Japan. They are one of Tateru Yoshino restaurants in Tokyo/Osaka and have many signature dishes, but if you’re a French lover, please come especially in fall/winter, to enjoy Chef Tejima’s exciting gibier specialities including puff pastry based ones. If you aren’t familiar with Wakayama, no worries, to take a dinner here is a good enough reason to visit Wakayama😉, worth it.

Well worth the price. Meticulous food, service and presentation. Left nothing to chance. Because of geographic location, it might not be Michelin rated. They deserve two stars. Book in advance for lunch. Less people for dinner.

Amazing food, great wine list and service! Wish I could eat there twice a week!
