A family operated, tiny-lovely French-based, nicely spontaneous cuisine restaurant focusing truely on local ingredients, especially their seasonal veggies are beautiful, you'd see something unseen there.. Just in the center of Toyohashi city (5min on foot from the station) and 3-4 tables/15-16 seats maybe? Please secure your seats beforehand (check their website) Also a good news for wine lovers, their lineup of Japanese natural wines are absolutely beautiful. It clearly shows their good relationships with producers, wholesalers and what is more, themselves. Strongly recommend to take their wine pairing. Enjoy!

I read reviews from people I can trust. I could feel the owner's great taste in the carefully thought-out composition from appetizers to dessert. The wine was served with each plate, and all of them were delicious. (Although there were some parts that were somewhat disappointing) I would like to visit again, although it is quite far away.

aru is a French restaurant in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. A French restaurant that mainly serves vegetables, which can be said to be rare even in Japan. Last time I visited was in spring. This visit took place after Obon. In other words, I returned with the expectation that there would be dishes based on summer vegetables. When I visited again, I was surprised by the attractive cuisine, which consisted almost entirely of vegetables, and by the approach that I had had little experience with. On the other hand, there is of course the charm of linear French cuisine, which should be kept in check, and I was very satisfied. Overall, the ingredients had a fresh feel and the impression was that they were light and easy to eat.
