Hiroshima, Japan｜Momonoki

We saw this restaurant in the listing at our hotel near Peace Park and figured we would give it a try. The taxi dropped us off at the street and we found it hidden down a hallway of a larger building with several other establishments. As soon as we entered we could tell we were in for a treat with the charming atmosphere with piano music playing in the background. The waiter brought the fresh cut of A5 Wagyu and recommended a particular set he thought we would like...and he was absolutely correct. The cook did an amazing job giving a small sear on the outside before applying the very few spices needed before applying the flame sear. Once plated and brought to the table with the toppings and dip, we couldn't wait to try it! Let me just say, THIS WAS THE BEST STEAK WE BOTH HAVE EVER HAD! Absolutely delectable, dissolves in your mouth and mixes superbly with the offerings. If you are looking for a truly unique experience and the best steak around. Look no further!!

This was truly the best diner experience we have ever had. The food was amazing and the chefs explained all the courses very well and even gave tips to take the best pictures whenever we tried to film them cooking something on the teppanyaki grill. For anyone who wants to try wagyu for the first time I would highly recommend coming to this place! We had the 7 course meal for 3 people which totaled at 40040 yen including 1 drink per person. They also provide extra (free) drinks with some of the courses. Worth every penny!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredible. We did the steak dinner course which had a bit of a tasting menus, and it did not disappoint. Really thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and if you visit Japan, Hiroshima you must come here! The staff were so polite, attentive and kind and really made this whole experience one of the best. I would say this has to be top 5 meals ever had!!
