Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan｜おもてなしどころ光亭

One night I was in Iwaki, I was wandering around looking for somewhere to eat without doing any research and decided to pop in, but the salted squid I was served grabbed my stomach. Since the sashimi was served late, I was told that it was already finished and not very good, but when it came out, I was surprised to find that it was only good. lol All of the sashimi was delicious, and the fried Mexicali was so fluffy that it didn't hit my teeth, so delicious that I could eat it all by myself, and the delicious omelette rice with the fluffy egg made me a very happy night. I did. The owner and the landlady are both very fun people and we have a great time chatting, making me want to go back to Iwaki to see them again.It's a cozy shop where you can just wander in by yourself and sit at the counter! I don't know when it will be, but I'll ask you again. Thank you for the meal (^^)

The appetizers are also delicious! Assorted sashimi and soft boiled abalone are delicious. I also got the Mexicali tempura with bone rice crackers. This is a store you should go to even if you have to pay for transportation.

The master is a chef who worked at a first-class hotel and golf course, and is delicious in everything from Japanese to Western cuisine. It's run by a husband and wife team, and it's a very nice and cozy shop. By the way, the master is a passionate Eikichi Yazawa fan.
