Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan｜Matsumoto Tsunagu Yokocho

It's a brand new food court, opened in April 2019, and is full of several and separate small places where to eat, where you can find almost everything you want to eat. You get up from one place and sit down on the following one. It's a very busy place, and it's open only for dinner. We had the best tako yaki we ever had, while we personally didn't like too much the ramen from the place opposite to it. There are no english menus, but we used our hand to point to other dishes, and for some others we simply chose by pictures. Japanese people, as always, are amazing and very kind, all the time.

Electric and eclectic. Food was delicious and we had a laugh with the locals.

Great food hall centrally located in Matsumoto a few mins from station. Brilliant, fun atmosphere at night and having tried several of the food vendors we recommend the tempura place at the back/right of the floor. The vegetable tempura is to die for (especially the wild mushrooms) and don't forget to order a truffle egg too. Best egg ever. Everyone is super friendly and the guys at the tempura bar have a useful voice translator so us British people could laugh and joke too!
