Iida, Nagano, Japan｜Sanbiki no Kobuta

Driving past beautiful snow capped mountains, we were in search of a tonkatsu restaurant that we had heard was outstanding. The food really delivers, soft yet crispy with a beautiful texture, not too fatty. I crushed my own sesame seeds like a pro and made a smooth tonkatsu sauce which complimented the meat and rice perfectly. I understand why the Big Bad Wolf was so desperate to catch those three little pigs, he's not a bad guy, he knows good food.

Very seriouuuuus tonkatsu! Super friendly staff and high quality pork! It’s supposed to be one of the best and it tasted like so!

One of the best Tonkatsu (deep fried pork) restaurants in Japan, I think. They use local pork for most of their menu.
