Excellent beef and pork dishes; enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Super accommodating as we arrived literally 10 mins before store closing. Nice ambience with Totoro music, appreciated by our full party of 8.

There is the best Yakiniku in Iida city

Iida, the Yakiniku city with the highest density in Japan Nagayamon Kuwahara is a restaurant in Iida City that has been gaining rave reviews in recent years and was selected as one of Nagano Prefecture's first yakiniku restaurants by Tabelog. When I arrived at the store, I was surprised. Despite the gate and storefront, it is not a yakiniku restaurant. From what I hear, it seems like a building that is over 300 years old has been converted into a yakiniku restaurant.I have eaten at many yakiniku restaurants in the past, but this one is by far the most impressive. The menu structure is very simple. It was a laminated single-piece menu, and the lineup of meat was not surprising, but apparently there were rare parts and aged meat that were purchased that day, and luckily on this day, there was no aged meat or aged meat that was purchased that day. They also had fresh liver, so I followed the advice of the staff and ordered it. The store staff's response was very nice, and that point is highly rated. While I was thinking of trying many different items, I was told that I could order half portions of all the meat, so I ordered half of all the meats. upper tongue lever Special loin rolled beef aged meat raw lamb Misuji *All orders are half quantity I ordered rice, oolong tea, and kimchi for about 8,000 yen. Very cheap. Of course, everyone has different values when it comes to price, but this item is available at this price! I think anyone who thinks about cost performance in the true sense of the word will understand. The first piece of each piece of meat was grilled by the staff. I think it's also meant to convey the proper way to grill each piece of meat. Nagayamon Kuwahara didn't put much seasoning on the meat, and most of the time it was seasoned with just salt, so to be honest, it's not the type of yakiniku that I really like, but the dipping sauce at this restaurant is just delicious. I especially liked the sauce, which was explained to be made with peaches, as it had a complex intertwining of sweetness and umami. With this sauce, you can enjoy delicious meat even without adding seasonings such as massage sauce. I heard that the owner had been working as a chef at a famous hotel in Nagoya for 30 years. This sauce is probably made by making full use of various cooking techniques. I have no idea what it was, but I can tell you that it was delicious. What shocked me the most that day was the aged meat. When you bite into dry-aged meat, you can smell the aged aroma in your nose. The nutty smell and taste were wonderful, and I don't remember having eaten this level of aged meat at Yakiniku before. The staff at the restaurant advised me to eat it as is, but from the second slice onwards, I ate it with my favorite peach sauce and it was absolutely delicious. Iida is really far away, but if you like Yakiniku, I think it's a restaurant worth visiting at least once. It was delicious. I am creating a blog called ``Yakiniku Encyclopedia'' where I record my visits to yakiniku restaurants all over Japan. Please check out our blog for other Yakiniku restaurant information.
