Tsuchiura, Ibaraki, Japan｜Takarajima

This shop is no longer called Takarajima. Now it's Yakiniku Ichiban. Honestly, I think the restaurant has improved with the rebrand. The seasoned meats at Ichiban are more full of flavor than what Takarajima had. The prices are more expensive, but I think the quality has increased just as much. Also, the desert bar is fantastic with vanilla soft serve, mini waffles, a wide selection of ice cream flavors, and an assortment of toppings. Takarajima barely had any desert options, so this is the biggest improvement. I'll definitely eat here again.

The cuts of meat they use aren't bad and the other menu items (like rice bowls, desserts, veggies, etc.) were pretty good as well! The staff are always very friendly and helpful and service is pretty fast. I'd say the all-you-can-eat courses are definitely worth their prices! It's good for any kind of meal, whether it's just a casual lunch or a celebratory dinner!
