It's not often that I opt for American food when in Japan because what's the point? Well there are exceptions and this is one. These burgers are made from Kobe beef and A5 Wagyu trimmings from the Zen steakhouse down the street. The results are some of the best burgers you can buy. They aren't too expensive either. 1300 yen was the most expensive I saw. Most were 1000 yen. If you're in Kobe stop here and eat!

Great gourmet hamburgers - the meat is high quality stuff that is probably shared with the teppanyaki restaurant down the road (called 'Zen') - the owner has both restaurants. If you want to treat yourself to the highest quality version / interpretation of the 'hamburger', you'd be hard-pressed to find a better place than this. It's a very small restaurant - so you might have to take your burgers to go if you've more than 3 or 4 people with you. It's a bit on the pricey side too - but you get what you pay for, which is a high-quality, gourmet hamburger.
