More Comments at Google MapKobutaya as explained to us by Makoto-san (the sweet owner) is a young pig bones broth! This place is the real deal. The ramen is filled with rich flavor. 1-man show and very awesome guy. Make sure to pour him a drink when you order your Asahi beer 🍻 he loves to drink with the customers!
Rich and delicious are the most accurate words I could use to describe Kobutaya Ramen. Using a pork bone broth the owner/cook delivers one of the best bowls of ramen you've ever had. He's had his shop for more than 21 years and he works alone. Open six days a week the owner shops for local, fresh ingredients and hand rolls his gyoza daily. Very small shop with about 10 seats. Service is fast considering there's only one employee.
Excellent. Best Ramen in the local Eastern Yamaguchi Prefecture. Small shop, with seating for only about twelve. Parking is limited immediately outside, however you can park at the grocery store across the street. The owner talks a lot, with limited English. He recently update the prices to reflect the increased tax rate. The ramen, as previously mentioned, is fantastic. Additionally, the fried rice is unbelievable. He puts forth a lot of effort and care into his ramen, you can tell he’s truly passionate. I do NOT suggest going with a large party. He prefers groups of two to three at the most. He is closed on Thursday and closes at 9pm on Sunday. Lastly, for regular customers, he knows their orders and treats them like family. Great place, quintessential Japanese experience and service.
