This place deserves better reviews. I read through a bunch of the 1 star reviews and would like to offer the following feedback to counter some comments. You can tell by the outside and general vibe of the establishment, that this is a no-frills kind of place. You should come here for some solid food that will cost you under 1000 yen per person. Overall, the counter where we sat was kept very clean, and the restroom was spotless as well. When we came here, it was lunchtime. There was one gentleman cooking in the kitchen and one older lady serving the dining area. I would say half the seats were filled at that time. We were greeted in a friendly manner and were seated at the counter. The lady brought us an English menu after seeing us struggle with the Japanese one. We placed our orders and our food was in front of us not five minutes later. I forgot to ask for an egg with my order, but it was no problem ordering it on the side still. The ramen bowl was as it should be, nothing more, nothing less. To reiterate: For the price that you pay here (less than 1000 yen per person), you cannot possibly expect more than what I described. I would definitely come back here based on the experience I had.
