Kasaoka, Okayama, Japan｜Idehara

I visited on a public holiday. We were lucky that Kasaoka Ramen restaurants in the area were open while they were closed! There were about 10 people in line at around 12:00, but since the turnover was fast, we were able to get inside in about 30 minutes. The menu is limited to large or average Chinese noodles. The smooth oil and refreshing soup were absolutely delicious, and the noodles were just the right hardness! If I had a request, I thought it would be better if there was a substitute dish or side menu. (This may be unavoidable since I think the emphasis is on turnover rate.)

I went to Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture to meet a friend. Kasaoka Ramen from Okayama✨️ I went to a restaurant that is popular in the local area and is a favorite of my friends! The soy sauce-based medium-thick straight noodles are similar to Hachioji ramen! The roast pork and this green onion are exquisite ✨️ The more you chew the chashu, the more flavor comes out. I wish there was food.ꉂꉂ(ˊᗜˋ*) It was sold out at the last minute 🤪 It's pretty delicious, so if you're in the area, be sure to give it a try! Thank you for the meal😋

A Chinese soba restaurant in Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture. One of the famous restaurants serving Kasaoka ramen, a local ramen. I went there around 13:30 on Sunday afternoon, but there were less than 20 people in line. However, the turnover rate was good and I was able to enter the store in less than 30 minutes. Ordered Chinese soba (large). It is a simple menu consisting of medium or large Chinese noodles and rice (white rice) only. Originally, I was going to eat rice, but it was already sold out. Chuka soba is chicken-based soy sauce. This is the standard in this area where poultry farming is thriving. At first glance, it looks very much like soy sauce, but it has a strong flavor and a very light aftertaste. It contained finely chopped chicken meat instead of grilled chicken, which was also well seasoned and delicious.
