Hiroshima, Japan｜Koriku

These were the best ramen I had in Japan & the service and atmosphere were amazing too. I'll surely visit this restaurant again next time I'm in Hiroshima.

Stumbled upon this place on the way to Miyajima from Hiroshima. Locals’ spot (Japanese menu only) with great ramen and sides. Very fairly priced at ¥2000 yen for two with a side dish to share. Kind staff. Would definitely recommend.

Previously, it was located near Hiroshima Prefectural Hospital, but there was no parking lot, so I only used it occasionally. Since moving to Fukushima Town, there is a parking lot with space for 4 cars, so I have been using it more frequently. It's a very popular restaurant, so it fills up even before it opens. When I want to eat, if a restaurant happens to be open, I feel lucky and go for it. If it's full, I'll give up and go to another restaurant... (¯ ¯٥) I was lucky because there were 2 spaces available today! I received the Tori Tonkotsu. You don't often see the combination of chicken and pork bones, but the soup of this chicken tonkotsu is exceptional ٩(^·^) The flavor of the aromatic fat mentioned in the menu is also elegant and appetizing! I think it's a really well-balanced soup with depth and richness. Of course, you will have to eat all the soup every time. The chashu pork is also grilled before being served, so it's fragrant and juicy! According to the menu, the noodles are medium-thin and straight, but I think they go well with the soup. I think the correct answer is not thin noodles, thick noodles, or curly noodles. The store's atmosphere and customer service are perfect, and it's no wonder they have celebrity autographs posted in front of the cash register. Next time I would like to try the koriku ramen.
