Although the soup might looking heavy, but this soy sauce-based soup is quite light that I can finish this easily. The rice with raw egg and small fishes is something I must eat. Don't forget to put some soy sauce on top of it. This creamy texture is something I will remember forever. Single table for one guest, and four people guests can get a round table. Makes backpackers also feel comfortable. Unfortunately, not many English guides here, but you can still order the food on the vending machine easily. Cash only. I went to eat again on November 3, 2023. I have been participating in the Betcher Festival since the first day, but since today is the last day, I followed the procession of mikoshi from around 10 o'clock, and from the latter half I walked in front and took a video. I arrived at the Shimanami Exchange Center at 11am and saw people returning from the shopping street so I took a chance and got in line.I arrived at 11:05am and there were only 9 people waiting. On normal holidays, there would be a line of 15 to 20 people. I entered the store at 11:30 and ate a set of Onomichi ramen and chashu rice bowl. Since the flavor is made only from natural ingredients, the condition varies a little each time, but today's soy sauce was a little better. This is the previous review. This store was unmarked, but I went in because it had sold out and closed quite early the day before. First of all, the reddish roasted pork that is cooked at a low temperature is visually appealing and will whet your appetite. For the first meal, I added yakumi in the middle of the soup as indicated in the store, which changed the taste, but since it's my favorite bonito and dried sardine soup, I ate the second meal the next day without changing the taste until the end. It was delicious. I was struck by the fact that both times young women came to eat alone. There were quite a few solo female customers. I would say that it's an atmosphere that makes it easy for you to come in alone. Recently, I went to Onomichi for 4 nights and had one meal there, and next week I'm going to Onomichi for 2 nights for the Boettcher Festival, so I'm going to eat there again. I used it when driving. I had the chashu men. The soup was rich in soy sauce, typical of Onomichi ramen, and went well with the flat noodles and was very delicious. The rare char siu was cooked at a low temperature for 4 hours and left to rest for half a day, so it was juicy and meaty, which I liked, and it was also very delicious. There was no seasoning on the table, such as pepper, and the only thing there was homemade chili oil. I added it when I was about halfway through eating it, but the impression changed considerably. It was spicy and had a strong aroma of chili oil, and I enjoyed the unusual taste. I came to the Onomichi ramen shop with high expectations because it was made by a professional Japanese chef, but I was very satisfied. It was my first time visiting the store, and I was able to enjoy the ramen with peace of mind, as the female staff member was very knowledgeable, explaining the ticket vending machine right from the moment I entered the store.
