Ogaki, Gifu, Japan｜麺屋みつる

I saw a video on YouTube about Mitsuru before coming to Ogaki, so I wanted to try it. The restaurant’s specialty is “Breakfast Ramen.” As the name implies, the restaurant is uniquely open at 7am, unlike most other ramen restaurants. I tried the Breakfast Ramen. It was amazing. The best part was the broth. It was rich and deep in umami flavor. The arugula, green onion, and menma also create a fresh balance. The price is very reasonable, especially for something this delicious. The service is very friendly and welcoming, and despite being so busy, they are very patient with first time foreign visitors (like me). The dining room is small, so it is normal to wait 30-40 minutes from the time you enter to the time you eat. Mitsuru is very popular. Several factories are nearby so workers eat there often. The restaurant even attracts people from outside Ogaki. As you can expect, it’s proper to eat quickly and leave; not a place you can chat with friends and family. My advice is to arrive at least 15 minutes before they start the meal service, you can easily get a seat this way. I recommend the Breakfast Ramen with egg. This is such a wonderful restaurant and I regularly visit once or twice a month!

Visited Ra in the morning, and when I was troubled by the ticket vending machine, there were plenty of older ladies, even if they were small! As she said, I ordered the rich soy sauce flavored egg ramen (small). The thin noodles have a nice chewy texture and are very comfortable to slurp, and the soup, which is often made with seafood soup, has a gentle but strong flavor and is very delicious. It seems like the soup has a different flavor for lunch, so I'd like to visit again.

I ate shrimp spicy mixed soba during lunch time. It was very filling and delicious. If it is spicy or spicy, you can add hot eggs for free. They also listened carefully to each and every one of them, and their concern was wonderful. It was a wonderful sight to see a customer with a child in front of me and the owner explaining it carefully.
