Hikone, Shiga, Japan｜楽縁

A literal shack with some pretty tasty ramen. It has about 6 seats around a bar and a tiny table that could maybe fit 2-3 people. You order from a ticket machine and then hand your ticket to the shopkeep and take a seat. I was visiting Hikone during a storm and let me tell you this ramen was exactly what I needed to put a warm glow in my belly. It's filling, delicious, and not too salty. Be warned that this spot is probably not foreign friendly as everything is in Japanese and I don't think they speak any English. Either way, I would gladly get noodles here again.

Stand alone restaurant alongside Hikone station tracks, tucked away next to a bridge. Food is ordered from a ticket machine. The menu is completely in Japanese. I ordered the 2nd button. It is amazing! The broth is so flavoursome and goes down so well. Already looking forward to going back. (I think the first button comes with the seaweed piece in the ramen - total guess)
