I went to this ramen shop as it’s very popular and affordable. Their trade mark Viet Kong ramen is only 550 yen which is great value for money. It has a lot of garlic, a lot of bean sprouts and a lot of noodles. I enjoyed it but I feel it wasn’t too different to other ramen I’ve had overall. The reason I recommend this place is actually for their fried chicken. It’s a bit costly at 730 yen but you get 5 huge pieces of chicken with a wedge of lemon and some salt and pepper for dipping. It was perfectly cooked and if I hadn’t eaten the ramen already I would have ordered another portion. The waiting time can take a while. I arrived 10 minutes after they opened but had to wait over 40 minutes to be seated and then a further 20 minutes to get my order so that I could start eating. Free up some time and free up some space in your stomach. It’s worth a trip 👍

The noodles are thicker than other Shinkyo restaurants, and the soup is orange in color. The taste is of course delicious, and Shinkyo has its own unique taste depending on the restaurant. I was surprised because the price was too low. There was a sign in the store saying that they were planning to raise the price, but I was surprised that they were offering it at this price.
