Ogaki, Gifu, Japan｜Asahiya

It's been a long time since I last heard from you. At this time of year, I try miso stewed udon, but today I tried curry stewed udon. The udon is firm and retains its texture, which is good. My wife had the tempura bowl, and the crispy tempura was delicious.

To be honest, like everyone else, I entered the store thinking it was Asahiya, which serves Espium Makatsudon. However, the crispy fried cutlet, well-seasoned egg, and smooth and chewy udon noodles (I had the lunchtime set) were both delicious and filling. It's a beautiful store with plenty of counters and tatami seats, so I felt it could be used in a variety of situations, including solo travelers, families with children, and elderly families. I made a mistake, but it was delicious so it was a hit!

I remember going there with my family when I was young (when it was a store in an old building). In the past, the huge Okame and Hyottoko masks were impressive and scary. It's been decades since the store opened, but it's still delicious and to my taste. It's been a while since I left Ogaki, but when I got back to my parents' house, I decided to go there for the first time in a while, and I was so glad I could eat delicious udon and set meals in a relaxing atmosphere. Since then, I have been going there quite a bit. I'm from Ogaki, so it suits my taste. A variety of standard udon noodles, miso stewed udon noodles, and tempura are delicious. The store is also clean and relaxing. The staff at the store are also very responsive. This is the store I want to continue.
