The restaurant closed (?) a couple of years ago. Only operates via a vending machine now. The taste is fantastic. I like ramen in general but Irodori is really one rank above everything else I have tried so far :) they have another vending machine near Gifu sta. as well. A must try, all you need is a kitchen. ;)

Ramen Irodori offers only 3 ramen varieties, but that simple menu allows them to focus on making a solid bowl of ramen. On their menu is their house Irodori Ramen, a chicken / shoyu blend, a spicy soba reduction version of their house Irodori, and a dipping-style tsukemen version. You can also select an extra chashu portion, a full-topping version, or a set with gyoza and rice. What sets them apart from other chicken-broth ramen restaurants is they pride themselves on their ingredients. Their noodles are made locally using 100% Hokkaido wheat, their soup base is made with Gifu-sourced ingredients, their chashu is smoked for more than 5 hours, and their spice has 10 types of spices and herbs. You can definitely taste their efforts in every delicious bite. I opted for the full topping spicy ramen for 1120¥, coming loaded with delicious chashu and chicken slices. The hint of the spice hit me when it the bowl arrived at my table and I could tell... they were serious about their flavors. The truly spicy, rich, and flavorful broth paired well with the deliciously firm noodles. The chicken, while a bit cold when it arrived, was soft and perfect, contrasting with the spiciness of the soup. The killer was absolutely the smoked chashu. While it looked rare (definitely uncommon for ramen), it was flavorful and soft, reminding me of another favorite ramen restaurant of mine. As a final note, normal or large portion of noodles are the same price as well, just let them know how hungry you are!

Coming to the restaurant before the opening time, you will get a coupon for a free topping. I had chosen an egg. That was so good
