More Comments at Google MapVisited in search of delicious miso ramen. My first impression was that this is miso ramen. I am grateful that the garlic punch and the good balance of spiciness and richness made it a very satisfying dinner. The gyoza was also cooked to just the right degree of chewiness, making me very satisfied. I have visited Kurumaya Ramen in Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, and Shizuoka in the past, but the Hachioji store I visited for the first time might be the best! I personally think so. Hey, even though it's a chain store, the taste varies depending on the store lol Well, maybe this is the charm of Kurumaya Ramen 😅
I visited for the first time, but probably because it was Sunday evening, the parking lot was full and the store was almost full. I heard that it is a very popular store. I asked for miso ramen, but the miso was not thick and light. I'm also happy with the free half rice.
I always get green onion miso ramen. Miso is dissolved in a tonkotsu-based soup, and plenty of shredded green onions are topped with a spicy sauce. Umami and spiciness are harmoniously integrated and delicious! The noodles are made in-house and are medium thick and curly. There is no chashu in the topping, but the satisfaction of the taste is high. I thought I'd try adding toppings from time to time, so this time I added bean sprouts and butter. I thought that the bean sprouts would be served on the ramen, but it was served on a separate plate. I want to try other ramen, but I love green onion miso so I don't have the courage. Someday it will be fun (^^)
