More Comments at Google MapIf you are in Kanegafuchi or near Sky Tree I highly recommend stopping in at Menya Shirahige for some delicious Hokkaido ramen.🍜 Masaki-san, the owner, serves up a number of ramen dishes including seasonal, specialty ramens. My friend & I started off with zangi…Hokkaido style karaage…& Sapporo beers 🍗 🍻 The zangi is big & juicy! It’s served with your choice of sauces….the lemon butter & special sweet & spicy sauces were favorites. We also enjoyed a dish of agegyoza. 🥟 Again, bigger than your usual gyoza & tasty.😋 The lemon butter sauce went surprisingly well with the gyoza. 💯 My friend had the special spicy miso ramen with grilled cheese 🧀 🌶 My friend added coriander topping making for a unique & delicious taste ❗️👍🏽 I went traditional with the butter corn ramen 🧈 🌽 …I kept it simple & added bit of black pepper. I was not disappointed. 😁 I usually don’t finish all my ramen soup, but Masaki-san’s soup is good to the last drop‼️🏁 Lastly, the mural on the wall of the shop, hand painted by a tattoo artist, is super cool & is a good back drop to the neon signage & edgy interior….you’ll also get a chuckle from the art Masaki-san curated for decorating the WC….😆 I’ll definitely be back to try the seasonal specials & more zangi‼️🤩
The staff were very understanding despite my limited japanese. The ramen was far better than any I ever had in America, and the venue was cozy.
The noodles are curly egg-based noodles and miso that is full of flavor. This is my personal favorite miso ramen. It goes very well with white rice! For those who like spicy miso ramen, there is a spicy miso ramen (red oni 0 yen → blue oni 50 yen plus → black oni 100 yen plus), and if you want something even spicier, you can ask the staff. When I first visited, I didn't feel like waiting in line for Musa-san so I thought I'd give it a try, but now I've started visiting Menya Shirahige because I want to try its ramen.
