About a 10-minute walk from Funabori Station, I visited Tonbotei, which is open in a residential area of Ukita-cho. It was after 11 o'clock on a weekday, and I was the only customer because it was just after opening. It felt like the shopkeeper and his wife were running it together. I was at a loss as to what to do with the abundant menu, so I ordered fried rice and half ramen. The wife's customer service was clear and quick, and when the water ran out, she immediately poured it. The ramen is traditional Chinese noodles and very light. Char siu, shinachiku, seaweed, and green onions are on top. I felt that the noodles were a little soft, but they were delicious. Fried rice is also simple, with green peas, eggs, roasted pork fillet, and natto. It tastes just like what you would get at home. I thought some people might think that the seasoning could be a little more salty. The dumplings, which I forgot to take a picture of, had a strong taste that made me think that there was a lot of garlic in them. Overall, the level was high, and the couple's cooperative play was exquisite, and it was a restaurant that made me want to try another menu.
THE Machi Chinese food. The fried rice has a perfect amount of salt and is not greasy and has a fluffy texture. Also, although the ramen is lard-based, it is very refreshing, but the ginger flavor seems to be the hidden ingredient, making it a very flavorful dish. *There is no parking lot, so you will have to park on the street, but the owner says that there are more parking guards these days, so we recommend coming on foot.
