More Comments at Google MapOn our travels to Kamakura yesterday we had a craving for Ramen and the closest one to where we at was this one. THIS WAS A GREAT FIND!!! The restaurant is small, but it wasn’t too crowded when we went (around noon) and we were able to find an open two-top. The menu has only a few Ramen options and some other side items. The menu is in Japanese and English. They have 3 combo sets and we decided to go with the first combo set of Ramen and a half size curry rice. We then ordered a side of gyoza (dumplings) and the Cha-shu rice. Although the restaurant is run by only 2 people, it is run so efficiently and their hospitality is amazing. We waiting no more than 5 minutes for our food after ordering and everything was piping hot! The flavor of everything was EXCELLENT. The Ramen had a well balanced flavor that was just salty enough without making me feel thirsty (even after the meal was over). The noodles were the perfect texture of chewiness and the toppings were fresh. Even the bamboo shoots in the ramen were not too chewy. The pork in the ramen was very soft! Just perfect! And it had its own flavor that complimented the soup. The curry, for a half-size portion, was quite plentiful and very hearty. As always, we mixed the pickled vegetables with the curry as we love the sweetness and crunchiness it brings to the dish. The Gyoza had a nice blend of vegetables and meat in it and the flavor was excellent. I loved how they cooked it as the outside of the gyoza was slightly bubbly and crunchy! The Cha-shu rice dish was also excellent. The pork was soft and easy to eat with a mild and light, sweet teriyaki like sauce on it. It didn’t over power the flavor of the pork. The pickled ginger went well with it and I normally NEVER eat picked ginger. I would recommend trying it with this dish if you have not. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area and I would most definitely come back!
I happen to stumble upon this store back in June during my trip to Japan and honestly I can say this is the best food experience I have received in Japan! People from my tour group also ate here and fully enjoyed their meals too! I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Japan and I will definitely return to eat more!
There are no carrots in the fried rice and the fried rice is delicious!
