Zama, Kanagawa, Japan｜Sayaka

This is my favorite ramen shop in the Zama area. I always forget the name of it so I call it the “free rice place” because they have a rice station where you serve yourself as much free rice as you want. I always judge a ramen shop on how well they can make their miso ramen, and so far this one is my favorite! Their gyoza is also delicious! It is crunchy and chewy on the outside, while the filling remains moist and flavorful on the inside. The owner doesn’t speak much English but she is super friendly and works very hard. The noodles are on the thicker side, which I prefer.

Delicious tonkutso ramen, the soup is supreme. Very cordial staff.

This is my favorite ramen place and it’s right outside the walk-in gate. Small shop, only like ten seats. 100y to upgrade to a large bowl if you want it. Their chashu is amazing.
