Hayama, Kanagawa, Japan｜しなそば小浜

I last ate at this establishment in September 1986 but I am very happy to see it is still in business. I lived only a 1 minute walk away so parking was not a problem. During my 4 plus years in Zushi I was able to visit often and hands down it was the best ramen shop I ever experienced. Back in those days there was no on-line review so please excuse the tardiness of my response. I hope I have a chance to return to Japan this year and, if so, make the trip to Zushi for gyoza and fried rice.

Basic, good, clean and tasty. Exactly want I want from a ramen shop. Nice broth flavor!

2023/10/19 First visit I arrived at 10:25 on a weekday Thursday, 5 minutes before the store opened, and the sign said it was open, so I was the first one in! When I entered the store, an elderly lady in the hall greeted me kindly. When I was seated, I was brought a cold drink, so instead of the shina soba noodles, I ordered fried rice and gyoza. After reaching the kitchen, I heard the sound of jowar and pot stirring, and the fried rice arrived in less than 5 minutes. The gyoza was served a little late, but it was served. The fried rice was a little more Japanese than Chinese, but it had a lot of pork, egg, and modest amount of salt, so it was a great dish to eat. The soup is a clear soup with two wontons. I think it's similar to the salt in shnamen noodles, and it was delicious. The gyoza is a little large and the skin is grilled to a crisp. When you bite into it, the meat juice drips out, and the flavor is gentle and delicious. Overall, I was able to eat in a relaxed atmosphere with the same gentle taste as the atmosphere of the restaurant. Two groups came in during the meal, and I was surprised at how quickly the shinamen was served. When the two parking spaces in front of the store were filled, there was a nearby coin parking lot, but there was one nearby, such as Hayama Marina. Payment is cash only. Thank you for the meal~♪
