More Comments at Google MapThe rich pork bones and seafood dipping sauce goes well with the flat noodles that have a hint of wheat, which is unique to the Gyōsha series, and you'll be addicted to it. The dipping sauce is more mushy than the one at Gunsha Honten (= be careful as it tends to jump around), and it feels like it's in keeping with the latest trends. I live fairly close to the school, so I go there once a week, and I never get tired of it. Even if you don't like strong-flavored ramen, there's no need to worry as the menu includes light Kawagoe soy sauce ramen and tsukemen. It's a small store with only a counter, but the atmosphere is bright and easy to enter, so I think it's suitable for sightseeing tourists. ※postscript※ As of June 2023, business hours are irregular and are only open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. In addition, there is a possibility of temporary closure, so please be careful if you are planning to go there. See official website.
I received Kawagoe Festival limited ramen♪ Aizu chicken and Kawagoe soy sauce Both the noodles and the soup are delicious, so you can finish it in no time! I almost want a second helping!
Since it's a ☆5, I want to write about it as thoroughly as possible, but this is a ramen shop that I really want everyone to know more about. I found it when I went to play near Koedo in Kawagoe. The owner runs the restaurant by himself, so you buy a ticket from a ticket machine and wait for your turn. Since it was lunchtime, I waited for about 10 to 15 minutes, but I went in with high expectations. This is the most common mainstream style, with a thick, mushy soup made from bonito flakes. The noodles are slightly thinner and flatter than udon, and are designed to soak up the thick soup. When visiting a restaurant for the first time, I order the menu that seems most recommended, so I ordered the special rich tsukemen and waited about 5 minutes for the bowl to arrive. There was char siu in the dipping sauce, plus two pieces of char siu (different types) in the noodle bowl, as well as a boiled egg and wontons that were about three times the size of regular wontons. The noodles, dipping sauce, chashu pork, boiled eggs, seaweed, wontons, and green onions were all delicious. Given the location of Little Edo, I thought the prices were a little high because they were aimed at tourists and people on vacation, but after trying the food, I was satisfied with the price. Oh, the special ramen is about 1200 yen, but the regular ramen is about 800 yen, so it's a completely normal price. There is both ramen and tsukemen, so I guess it depends on your preference, but since I have a cat tongue, I chose tsukemen. It was really delicious. I'll visit you again.
