Chuo City, Yamanashi, Japan｜Monjiro

I went to Ramen Monjiro 🍜. The retro interior is very calming. The shopkeeper is also calm and makes the place a good atmosphere. 🫶 Old whiskey 🥃 Lined up (apparently from the owner's collection) The ramen, the chashu rice bowl, and the dumplings are all delicious😋 Especially spicy gyoza, this is really addictive! Best ever!! ︎

Personally, I definitely recommend Monjiro if it's near Chuo City. There are various types of whole grain noodles on the menu. I don't know about the lighter ones because I always order the rich ones, but the tsukemen and abura soba are the best. The rice dishes are also great. The photo shows abura soba (added chashu topping) and chili oil rice. Abura soba also comes with soup.

There were a lot of other things besides ramen that were delicious. The rice 🍚 uses Takegawa rice and is delicious. The owner was also friendly and pleasant. It seems like they have a lot of different types of sake and shochu, so I thought I'd like to go at night next time. However, the only thing I didn't like was the char siu.
