Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan｜Shina Soba Ken

Honestly, they had best fried rice we've tried in Japan! The ramen was amazing too but the fried rice, a must order! Very quick service, and just a very nice cozy small restaurant! Highly recommend if you need a good lunch/dinner! Amazing hidden gem in Kawaguchiko :)

We found this while searching "soba" while staying in Kawaguchiko area. We ate the meat fried rice and spring onion Chinese soba with gyoza - the soba was something different but everything was extremely delicious. A lof of locals ate at this place and the ambience was also very nice. The owners were also very kind and helped us choosing the meal (there was an English menu but we could read Hiragana so it helped a lot and we also used Google Translate to ask some stuff). Highly recommend this place when you visit Kawaguchiko. We parked our rental car opposite the restaurant so we were unsure what was the accesibility by public transport.

I have had a lot of fried rice in my life. But this is by far (BY FAR) the best fried rice I have ever had in my life. Completely unexpected in a tiny little shop in the mountains. This is what life and travel is about. I forgot to take a photo but the photo here is how you know the fried rice is epic. Noodles good also. Recommend the half and half portion.
